Sophie van Leeuwen

Sophie van Leeuwen has a background in theatre and film production. After gaining valuable experience in theatre and studying drama for a year at ArtEZ University of the Arts, she pursued a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Arts at Maastricht University of Applied Sciences (2020). In her third year, she interned as a production assistant on the series Klem. Following this, she worked as a production coordinator on sets such as BuZa and Zwanger&Co, and later as a casting assistant at Oi Mundo Casting.

She then completed a dual master’s degree in Documentary & Fiction at the University of Amsterdam, with a major in dramaturgy (2024). During her studies, Sophie gained further industry experience through a dramaturgy internship at Pupkin Film and later worked as an assistant producer at Juliet at Pupkin.

In 2024, Sophie joined Big Blue, where she serves as Development Coordinator.
